Stydd Gardens and Nurseries

Stydd Gardens & Nursery is based in the ancient Roman Town of Ribchester in the beautiful Ribble Valley in Lancashire. For many years Stydd has been renowned for its enviable collection of Old Fashioned Roses and today we still stock more than 300 varieties - one or two unique to Stydd.

We are continually extending our range of plants and now include a large selection of unusual hardy perennials, many of which are propagated from those growing in our own herbaceous and mixed borders. We believe that roses should be grown with complementarily plants and it is these, in the main, which we strive to offer.

That the gardens at Stydd can be described as a jewel in the Ribble Valley crown is testament to the dedication and hard work of our small team of enthusiastic proper gardeners. We aim to provide visitors with a warm and friendly welcome and are happy to offer help and advise - to the best of our knowledge - whatever the weather!

Our aim is to be able to provide visitors with ideas and inspiration. As you wander around our garden, amongst weathered timber trellises smothered with old fashioned scented roses, you will find beautiful garden ornaments, furniture and water features, some are genuine antiques, some reproduction and many of them can be purchased. We are more than happy to discuss your requirments and intentions for your own garden.

In addition we offer a full garden design and construction service. We have created numerous stunning gardens for some very discerning clients, all of whom, we are confident, will vouch for the quality of our work.
